The ideal of community - including elimination of the barriers between school, parents, and community - is at the heart of MLK Charter School. Research shows that when schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and like school more.
You, the families of MLK Charter School students, join the board of trustees and staff to accomplish our mission: academic excellence, character development, and building beloved community. MLK Charter School will accomplish its mission because of the partnership between adults and children. Each year, each parent/guardian, student and staff member signs the Family-School Partnership Agreement. This agreement is a promise that we make to one another about what each of us will do to ensure that every student at MLK Charter School succeeds.
Working together we can achieve Dr. King’s dream for our students.
